Privacy Policy
Your mood entries, tags, and notes are stored in your own browser. They are not uploaded to us, not stored on our servers, and not used to train anything. The only data that ever reaches us is what you choose to send us when you email support, plus the payment details handled by our payment processor.
1. Who we are
Dailymark is published by Mojinge Studio, a product team based in Nanning, Guangxi, China. For the purposes of data protection law, Mojinge Studio is the data controller for the information described in this policy. You can reach us at hello@mojinge.cloud.
2. What we collect
2.1 Data stored only on your device
When you use Dailymark, the following is written to your browser's local storage and never transmitted to us:
- Your mood rating for each day
- The activity tags you selected for each day
- Any optional note you write
- Your custom activity tags
- Your plan status (free or premium) and license key, if you purchased
This data is readable only by you, through your browser, on your device. We cannot access it, we cannot recover it if you clear your browser data, and we have no copy of it.
2.2 Payment information
If you purchase a paid plan, your payment is processed by Creem, a third-party merchant of record. Creem collects your card details on its own secure checkout; your full card number never reaches our systems. Creem provides us with limited transaction information — typically your email address, the product purchased, the amount, the date, and your country — so that we can deliver your purchase, provide support, and meet our accounting and tax obligations. Creem's own handling of your data is governed by its privacy policy at creem.io.
2.3 Email correspondence
If you contact us, we keep your message and our reply for as long as needed to handle your request and to keep a record of the resolution. We use your email address only to reply and to send purchase receipts, license keys, and — if you have subscribed — renewal or cancellation notices. We do not add you to a marketing list without your explicit request, and there is no newsletter.
2.4 Technical information
Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may process standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, and request timestamps in order to deliver the site and to protect it against abuse. We do not use advertising trackers, third-party analytics scripts, or cross-site tracking pixels in the Application.
3. What we do not do
To be explicit about the things people usually worry about:
- We do not upload your journal entries anywhere.
- We do not require an account to use the free tier, and we do not ask for a name, phone number, or any identifier to use it.
- We do not use your entries, notes, or any content you type to train, fine-tune, or evaluate any machine-learning model.
- We do not sell, rent, or trade your data. We do not have a data broker business and we do not run advertising.
- We do not use third-party advertising trackers or session-replay tools on the Application.
- We do not require or use your location, contacts, or photos.
4. How the Application works technically
Dailymark is a static web application. The code is delivered to your browser and the computation happens on your device. The statistical insights on paid plans are calculated in your browser from your locally stored entries; your data is not sent to a server for analysis. The one request the Application makes to our infrastructure is a verification call after a purchase, which contains an order identifier and a payment signature, not your journal content.
5. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under data protection law including the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability.
Because your journal content never reaches us, we cannot access it, correct it, or delete it for you — but you hold all of it. You can:
- Access and export — Export JSON or CSV from Settings at any time.
- Correct — Edit or delete any individual entry in the Application.
- Delete — Use "Erase everything" in Settings, or clear your browser's site data for our domain.
- Object to or restrict processing — Stop using the Application, or contact us and we will delete the purchase records and contact details we hold.
To exercise any right that concerns information we do hold — such as your purchase record — email hello@mojinge.cloud. We respond within 30 days.
6. International transfers
Mojinge Studio is based in China. Payment processing is performed by Creem, which is based in Estonia and processes transactions globally. If you purchase a plan, the limited transaction information described in Section 2.2 is transferred out of China to Creem's processors in order to complete the payment, issue a receipt, and remit any applicable tax. If you contact us by email, your message crosses our corporate mail provider, which may be located outside China. Beyond this, we transfer no personal data, because we hold no journal content and no behavioural tracking.
7. Retention
- Journal content — Retained on your device until you delete it. We hold no copy, so there is nothing for us to delete or retain.
- License and entitlement records — Held by Creem and by us for as long as your plan is active, plus the period required by tax and accounting law (typically five to ten years).
- Support correspondence — Retained for up to two years after the matter is closed, then deleted.
- Server logs — Retained by our hosting provider for a short operational period, typically under 30 days.
8. Children
Dailymark is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Security
Dailymark runs entirely in your browser, which removes an entire category of risk: there is no server-side database of journal entries to breach. For the data we do hold — purchase records and support email — we rely on access controls, restricted access to the people who need it to run the business, and encrypted transport. Payment card data is handled entirely by Creem's PCI-compliant checkout and never touches our systems.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affecting data we hold becomes known, we will notify affected users and the relevant authority as required by law.
10. Third parties
| Service | What it handles | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Creem | Payment, receipts, tax, license keys, customer portal | Merchant of record for purchases |
| Cloudflare | Hosting, SSL, CDN, abuse protection | Serving the Application |
We do not use any advertising network, data broker, social SDK, or third-party analytics provider.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the revised version here and update the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we handle information we hold, we will email affected users before it takes effect. Continuing to use Dailymark after the updated policy is posted constitutes acceptance of it.
